The above Date & Time is tournament end date, Tournament start is August 9th, 2021
It feels good to be back on the golf course after being locked out for a year. We are changing the format this year by moving away from the one day golf tournament activities to a more traditional golf day scenario of procuring tee times and playing a round of golf at leisure with your buddies. The men's club will issue your team a "Golf Foursome Certificate" to be played at a time of your choice on a golf course that has provided the certificates. The game will be played as Best Ball and the scorecard, or copy, will be forwarded to Chris Simonson to be tallied for awards to be given on the evening of the Awards Ceremony to be held at the Buford Methodist Fellowship Hall. The Awards Ceremony will be traditional with raffles, auctions, winning prizes and topped off with a catered meal by SmokeHouse BBQ in October on Friday 22nd 7PM.
The golf tournament is organized by the Buford First United Methodist Men. Proceeds from the tournament will support local mission work and projects performed by the men’s club.
To become a sponsor and be listed in our Buford Methodist Golf Sponsor Webpage you or your company can register at our Golf Website (WhyNotGolf.com/bmmgb) open up our tournament and click on the Donate to our Tournament button.
The amount given is at your discretion and you will have the choice of remaining anonymous by contacting the tournament coordinator firstname.lastname@example.org.
We golfers, families and friends look forward to supporting our sponsors not just on golf day but throughout the year.
Player Registration Clarification
When registering the golfer can also add to the shopping cart from the Products Page raffle tickets. We recommend each player purchase the SUPER TICKET which contains raffle tickets and a $20 gift certificate from the PGA SuperStore and is considered the best buy for the money.
A team leader should pay first only for himself and then add his 3 team members names and their email addresses to the team, they will get an email with the pin code for that particular group and a link to click and pay for their spot. The individual player not yet on a specific team should register as a individual and will be placed on a team. That player can at a later date be moved to a team of his choice. The tournament is open to the public by registering your foursome players and the teamleader should be first to register and make payment as described above.

Best Ball Format - each team’s players hit from the teebox, then the team members choose the best of the four shots for the next shot. All team members then play the second shot from that location, and again choose the best shot. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed. The team then records its score and maintains that format for all 18 holes.
If your team only has three players, the 4th shot goes to a single player to take each 4th shot throughout the hole. Then the 4th shot rotates to the next player for the next hole, and so on.
